Onder de knieschijf voelt men een verhevenheid op het bot, de zogenaamde tuberositas tibea. Als reactie op overmatig springen, rennen kan het bot en\/of pees ge\u00efrriteerd raken.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Hierdoor kan een botreactie ontstaan waardoor meer bot gevormd kan worden<\/strong> en het bot meer gaat uitsteken. Uiteraard kan ook de pees ontsteken. Vermindering cq. stoppen van de activiteiten is het eerste wat men moet doen.
